There has been a recent orgy of creativity over at Dribbble where user Kyle Jones uploaded a shot of a mustache, asking people to create a rebound of the shot in the most creative way possible. After about 3 dozen responses, user Rogie rebounded with this shot which is a Star Wars trooper sporting the famed mustache.
Matthew Smith had sparked some interest in the evolving meme and decided to take it one step further. Earlier this week, Matt launched the Squared Eye market where he made full prints of this shirt available, and the Dribbble folks went crazy.
As of Friday, the shirts were launched for sale at the Squared Eye market, and they are being bought up by designers/geeks everywhere. Personally, I see this as not just a funny shirt, but proof that little ideas can blossom into successful products. All it took was a little photo of a mustache to inspire a line of T-Shirts that completely rock. Feel free to pick one up over at the Squared Eye market ($20).
