HL2 Texture and Graphics Upgrade
FakeFactory has released the 9th version of the legendary Cinematic Mod that improves the graphics and appearance of the Half-Life 2 series by bringing the Orange Box Engine to older series. Expect truely amazing graphics that rivals any game. Please remember this is an older version as v9.5 has been released quite some time ago. But v9.0 base was missing on HL2Files.

SMOD Ultimate mod
New Weapons
SMOD adds over 20 weapons to the single player game, as well as custom weapon scripts that can import weapons from other source engine games such as Counter-Strike, or create new ones from scratch. Most weapons now allow you to look down the sights when a key is pressed while holding them. This can affect other aspects of the game, such as speed of movement and accuracy. This will not work if the weapon doesn't have any sights.
Bullet time
Bullet Time slows the game environment, making physics, enemy reactions, and even bullets move at an extremely slow pace. It also produces visual effects that are similar to the ones in F.E.A.R Bullet time drains the player's Auxiliary power, much like the flashlight or sprinting, but at a much faster pace.
Gordon's kick
A melee attack possibly inspired by a similar move in the game Postal². The move is fully integrated into the physics engine, so if you kick an object, it will be sent flying. the strength of the kick varies depending on the inertia of the player and the kick_powerscale setting. Unbeknownst to some is the ability to create a "combine ball" by repeatedly using the gordon kick and stopping after approximately 10 quickly executed kicks. The combine ball can then be kicked at enemies.
New NPCs
Such as the attack drone, rebel Combine troops, Houndeyes, fully working stalkers, optically camouflaged troops, and 'super combine' with high-jump capabilities. Combine soldiers can be set to use energy-based riot shields which block bullets and add to game difficulty. Combine troops can now randomly appear with coloured armor, which allows them to take a huge amount of damage. Any human NPC can use most of the new weapons the mod adds to the game.
Enhanced visual effects
SMOD adds many new tweaks and improvements to the graphics of the Source Engine. A few examples of the new effects that can be seen are: Motion Blur, dynamic muzzle fire lighting, focusing effects, and greatly improved particle effects.
New functionality
Many weapons and objects can be used in new ways with SMOD. For example the crowbar can now be thrown at enemies with secondary fire, and props in a level can now be replicated and manipulated, similar to garry's mod, and used for various purposes.
New events and plot content
Examples include the skippable episode, "Where's my Boat?" and The CP who says "pick up the can" burning to death because the can has been replaced with a gas tank.
Gore
The mod adds several visceral features, such as new blood decals, twitching bodies, spurting blood from fatal wounds that splashes onto nearby objects, and gibbing (with edible gibs that increase health). These options can be switched off to reduce the gore level for a more sensitive audience.

Garry's Mod
Garry's Mod was created in 2004 by Garry Newman. It started out as a mod that allowed users to rope things to go together, and it made the pistol shoot out manhacks. Since then, the game has gone through eleven versions, adding more and more features until it became the established community-based sandbox game it is today. With the eleventh version of Garry's Mod, the version numbers were dropped, and it has now become simply Garry's Mod.
The current version of Garry's Mod receives regular updates via Valve's Steam service. Garry's Mod has been available for purchase on Steam since November 29, 2006. It is also now referred to as a "game" by Steam itself, rather than a "mod".
Garry's Mod allows players to manipulate props from any Source engine game installed on their computer (or ones created by the community) using the Physics Gun, or Physgun, a blue version of Half-Life 2's Gravity Gun (The same model as the Super Gravity Gun at the end of Half Life 2 as well as some parts of Episode One) that allows objects to be picked up from any distance, adjusted in mid-air and frozen in place. A second, multi-purpose gun called the Tool Gun can perform many tasks such as weld objects together or rope them together with ropes or controllable winches, plus hanging lights and lamps, doors and buttons, or whatever the community is able to code it to perform.

Zombie Panic!
The basic idea of the Zombie Panic is to create solid game play that is based on a classic zombie outbreak scenario, the living dead are coming for the last remaining humans, and these survivors must fight them off and live through the day.
The game works like this:
Everyone joins a server, in the beginning you can either choose to join the human team or you can volunteer to be the first zombie. If no one volunteers the game will pick one human randomly and the game begins. The starter zombie's goal is to, of course kill the humans while the human goal is to stay alive as long as possible, complete objectives, or even wipe out all the zombies. The catch is that when a human is slayed he will simply join the ranks of the undead, now ready to finish off his old living teammates.
The humans can't tell by the player list who's alive and who's not, eventually there will only be one survivor still standing if all goes wrong, facing all the zombies which used to be allies, with his back to a wall. The zombies only have a certain number of reinforcements (lives), when a zombie is killed they lose 1 life from the counter. However, when a human is killed they gain 1 life. If the zombies only have 1 respawn left the humans can win the round by killing off the remaining undead left on the map.
This is the main concept of how the game works but of course, but with additional game modes there is a bit more variety to it.
