Crowdsourcing broken down and explained - Infographic

When a company wants to solve a problem, and they don’t know of anyone who can solve it, who do they turn to? That company turns to the internet, and the mind-hive that is sprawled throughout different communities. Companies have offered a small percentage of their company, small payments, or open-sourcing the project in return for crowdsourcing, and usually it turns out pretty well, and sometimes, a whole new community is born.

Trolling perfection in Halo Reach - Video

Gaming fails and wins are a dime a dozen, and usually require only good/bad luck. Very rarely a win is achieved using pure, trolling skills, and this is one of them — framing fellow team-mates as the friendly-fire culprit with the troll even matching the gun they were using, because the victim would know the gun by sound. Pure excellence, and a noble service to keeping the rage-meter filled, and the gaming heated.

Tablet design before and after the iPad - Comparison

Everyone copies the successful product, and this fact seems to elude the majority of people. I don’t understand how people get seething mad when someone copies a product from Apple (I mean, really? It’s a god-damn phone). But I also don’t understand how companies can throw creativity and “effort” off to the side, and blatantly copy amazing and original products while expecting people to praise it (and some do, which confuses me even more).

This guy beats Portal in 10 minutes, we have no idea what happened - Video

So through a girthy combination of clever glitches and pure skill, DemonStrate successfully completed Portal in under 10 minutes, with enough time to create the infamous Companion Cube Cake. The entire video, we had no idea what was happening, and quite frankly stared blankly and remembered a time when we thought we were good at Portal… clearly, we all suck at it.

Study: wasting time online helps productivity in the work place

Not all of us have a job that let’s us waste time. But then there are those who are lucky enough to sit behind a computer all day instead of working in the unrelenting sun.

For these priviledged few getting some legitimate work can be hard, especially with Facebook, Twitter, news sites, flash games, and Reddit away at just the click of a button.

Well, according to a recent study you don’t have to feel bad about your “time wasting” online, since it actually produces more productive employees. — More after the break!

Minecraft creator challenges Bethesda to Quake 3 match to settle lawsuit

Markus Perssun, otherwise known to many as ‘Notch’, the creator of Minecraft, has been going back and forth between famous RPG developer Bethesda over the name of his studio’s next game, Scrolls. So what’s the beef? Well, Bethesda believes that he’s encroaching on their series Elder Scrolls by using the word “scrolls”, and have so since moved forward with legal action. Umm, yeah… So Notch, being the clever and reasonable guy he is, said he’d more than happily change the name of his game IF they can beat him and his team at a game of Quake 3. — More after the break!

Take a glance at some features coming to Xbox's Fall 2011 Update

Somehow someway Microsoft always knows how to reinvent and kick life into the same ol’ system they’ve been producing and backing for the past 6 years! With console design tweaks and annual system updates that keep the gaming and browsing experience fresh and exciting, it’s no wonder that Xbox, once known as the outsider in the gaming world, has become the staple for most of American gaming. And today at Games Con they’ve revealed some footage of what this year’s Fall Update will entail (spoilers: more Kinect support). — More after the break! where
