Cydia App Store on your Mac - Coming Soon

As Apple announces their App Store coming to Mac OSX so does Saurik, the guy behind Cydia. TUAW has said that Saurik presented at 360|MacDev summarizing the upcoming jailbreak store for Mac OS X, Cycript, and Cydia Substrate. As Cydia continues becoming more popular on iOS devices it will be a forceful competition for Apple being on the Mac as well. There is quite a large difference between iOS and Mac OS X, and it will be interesting to see how Cydia forms into a desktop app, and it’ll also be interesting to see Apple’s lash-back against a 3rd party App Store on the Mac. Sadly details are just emerging and no one is quite sure of anything yet, but we will certainly keep you up to date.

What do you think of Cydia running on your Mac, would you use it?

Rumor - iPad 2G will get Facetime and be smaller

Asian manufacturers may have let slip that Apple’s upcoming second generation iPad will not only be able to use FaceTime, but will also come in a much smaller package. Though Steve Jobs has already denied that an iPad built at the fraction of its current size isn’t happening - citing it would compromise the overall design - that apparently hasn’t stopped this source from confirming that Apple will indeed be releasing an iPad 2G that is half the size of current model on the market — Details after the break!
