MobileNoter syncs OneNote notebooks to an iPhone

“There’s an app for that” has been a key message pushed throughout Apple iPhone and iPod Touch commercials. Contrary to Apple’s statement heavy Microsoft OneNote users were constantly left out in the dark; that is of course providing that they weren’t using a Windows Mobile device co-currently. No longer do those of us whom use both an iPhone and OneNote have to sit and ferment, waiting for the ever-impending approval of an OneNote reader. Thanks to MobileNoter our OneNote fantasies are now complete; read past the break for a quick overview.

PC Review - Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening

More of the same is used quite a bit in a series like Dragon Age, and Awakening is no exception. Bioware returns to their roots with the release of this expansion pack - the kind of thing you usually see in MMO’s these days. While it’s a much shorter and condensed experience, Bioware has taken the road of, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, making the expansion pack still enjoyable but nothing out of this world.

Palm Pre gets a flaming 800MHz overclock patch for WebOS 1.4

By now most of us would be aware that the Pre (and Pre Plus for that matter) doesn’t take full utilitarian use of it’s CPU, but what’s a fan to do? If you’ve currently upgraded to Palm’s latest and greatest (WebOS 1.4), a couple of Palm loving hackers have released a kernel patch, bumping the meager 500MHz CPU to a trail blazing 800MHz. To quote Joshua Topolsky “the two phone magicians,” unixpsycho and caj2008 are no stranger to tapping into the Pre’s untamed CPU; bringing what was a similar patch to WebOS 1.3.5. Presently, phones using the tweak, haven’t experienced any major issues (crashes, freezing, major battery drain and exploding devices.) In surprise to the creators, the hack only has a somewhat marginal affect on battery life (an additional 2.4% loss) however, if you’re constantly looking for a power-point to charge your device, this may just be the ultimate destruction of its battery. With such raw power, comes great responsibility: With that we leave you with a final message, install this at your own risk!
