Amazing motion CGI car race by Pantural - Video
Taking over 110 days to render a video only a mere 5 minutes long, this is sure to amaze you. No matter how real you think this may be, it’s not. Everything was done using a few motion design programs such as 3DS Max and After Effects. It’s truely some of the best of work I’ve seen. Enjoy.

Toyota tries its hand at throwing Miku Hatsuna (Vocaloid) into an ad
Look who’s making an interesting appearance in Toyota’s latest US campaign to advertise the Corolla. Why it’s none other than Miku Hatsune, the anime mascot for Yamaha’s Vocaloid software. The choice to include her an mainstream ad does seem odd but it’ll no doubt make tons of weeaboos point to their screen and squeel in applause.
iOS - Superbrothers: Swords & Sworcery EP Review
There aren’t a whole lot of games that come off as strong as Swords & Sworcery. What makes it different from the pack? Well, if you watch the game’s trailer you’ll get what I’m saying, but for those who just want it straight; the game is self-aware, knowing that there’s someone behind the virtual controller. But it also knows that its quality and presentation is heads and shoulders above the rest. And we like that. We like it a lot. — Find out why after the break!

Raspberry Pi - David Braben makes $25 USB stick that is actually a working PC
When most people think of PC’s they usually think of either a laptop or a large tower housing all those messy computer parts. Well David Braben, a well known game developer at Frontier Studios in the UK, is hoping to have that mentality changed. He and his team have created a USB stick that is actuall a working PC, with a HDMI out port in the back and a USB head for plugging in a keyboard and mouse. And the best part is that it only costs $25 to make.
Battlestations - Show us your workspace, iPhone springboards, or your desktop
Whether we’ve got a lot of gear in our workspaces or just a handful of apps on our phones, as geeks we like to show off what we got. So here at Okay Geek we thought we’d start off a Friday feature where our readers can submit to us images of their home workspace, their gaming setup, or even just screenshots of their desktop wallpaper or iPhone springboards. Tell us how where you found your wallpaper, what it took to build your gaming rig, or what’s your favorite iOS app. We’d love to hear from you guys. — Details after the break!
Kiip.me - Earning real rewards for virtual achievements
Taking a stab at the traditional way awards and achievements are obtained in video games, Kiip (pronounced “keep”), is a new startup focused on big change in the gaming industry. Instead of the traditional method of receiving fake awards and points as you garner achievements, Kiip wants to bring you real rewards from well known brands. We were all a bit frustrated when we found out Xbox wasn’t going to be doing anything w/ their gamerpoints system, but this company seems have the right idea. — We’ve got some details after the jump!

Inneract - The app that brings people together
INNERACT from Lauren McCarthy on Vimeo.
This was posted on reddit last night and I fell in love with the idea. The app’s already out so I downloaded it, and I live in Las Vegas so I expected at least some sort of activity. But alas, nothing. Well, I take that back. There was one person “inneracting” in my whole city, though he was about 20 miles away. I’m going to assume this app flourishes only in places like New York, but anywhere else it’s DOA.
