Bastion's Launch Trailer is Looking Very Lovely
Perhaps the most interesting looking Summer of Arcade release, Bastion is looking like an exciting mix of combat and area traversal complimented by a fantastic art style and a “dynamic” narrator. Some very interesting concepts and their launch trailer has all but sold me on the title!
D-BOX Seating: The next revolution of the movie industry or the next distraction?
D-BOX promises to be the next big leap in movie theater technology, but is all this technology in the theater enhancing the movie or is it becoming a distraction from the real art of movie making? Some major film critics avoid 3D at all costs and D-BOX seating is next on their list of things to avoid. They say that anything in the theater that is not the movie itself is a distraction, and although major movie producers and theaters are pushing this technology as hard as they can to attract younger guests, they may just end up streaming the movie in their living rooms a couple months after it leaves the theater.

Man connects to the internet with a 1964 modem -- (Video)
100 Gb connections? Pff, 56K was what I grew up with, but that in itself is quite advanced to the sorta stuff that was used decades ago when connecting to an online terminal, way before the days of our modern internet and streaming video sites. Watch this man connect to Wikipedia using a 1964 Livermore Data Systems “Model A” Acoustic Coupler Modem.
iOS 5 Beta 3 isn't just bug fixes - Support for no home button and FaceTime AirPlay
iOS 5 was the biggest upgrade in Apple’s iOS operating system in years. Once the major release of the operating system comes out for developers it goes through usually 3-4 beta stages, without many things changing. But Apple’s biggest change is having some big changes in beta, and predictably, people are starting to go a bit nuts.

Warning: Pretty strong (yet hilarious) language — If you have ever stormed the pages of Reddit, you’ve probably heard of Dick Figures. It’s a cartoon series by Mondo Mini that showcases very geeky life situations being dealt with in awesome ways, for instance a non-stop onslaught of memes. Very creative, and very funny!

This HTML 5 interactive infographic shows how our home is changing every second and does a beautiful and engaging job at doing so — All in real time, which is super cool!
Tulalip is Microsoft's secret social project
The mindset at Microsoft must be something like, “Google is a search engine company and they’ve got 10 million users on Google +, why can’t an OS developer do the same?” The world of computing in the big leagues is more about copying the other guy at an already existing idea rather than coming up with a new and exciting, innovative concept. In this case, Microsoft has accidentally blown the lid off a “secret” social project that would connect users with the live tile UI seen on Windows Phone 7 and the upcoming Windows 8.
