Voice Band iPhone App Makes Anyone's Voice Into Beautiful Music

Thanks to the new iPhone app Voice Band, you can now be you own band. All you have to do is select the instrument you like and start humming, BAH-ing, or making some type of noise with you voice. The app turns you voice into the instrument by use of tone/pitch and you can create a multi-layered track. If you feel brave enough too you can add your own vocals.

Ballmer Defaces Kid's Macbook

During a multi-city tour to promote Microsoft to industries across the country, a local college kid from Nashville with cojones of steel asked Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, to autograph his Macbook. Begrudgingly Ballmer agreed, but only to catch a photo op of him defacing one of Apple's products. Though, I'm a bit surprised Steve didn't just chuck the thing out. Web 3.0 - Discover new Music & Artists with thesixtyone

There are some sites out there that I think can only be deemed web 3.0 and that's because of how different they are from the intertube's social norms. These sites think outside of the box and don't care much for order. Web 1.0 was about text and menu's. Web 2.0 about shiny buttons and minimal interfaces. 3.0 to me is about content being fed directly to the one accessing the site. Here's my first site entry into this special category:

thesixtyone found by tekzilla's @Veronica Belmont, plays it fresh; musical artists post up music and users either like or not, but do it in a style that's never been done before. There's really no real structure to how the site works - which can be confusing at first, but once you've made it through the maze and adventure it plays out like massive multiplayer music player.

Earbud Wires Can be Annoying - Get Them Under Ctrl with This

When it comes to the iPhone earbuds there's no one out there who aren't annoyed by how easily they get tangled up. I mean why can't we just rawk out without worry? Seriously, it's time to get those babies put under ctrl! So take a gander at this simple fix to the age old dilemma: cordctrl.

It's a mini log that you wrap your wires around to get them outta your face, and outta your way. Use it for your iPod, iPhone, or other MP3 players needs when you put your musical gear up for storage at the end of the day. They're pretty cheap too - costing about $12 bucks here locally in the states.

Buy them here at home

DS Review: Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

The Mario and Luigi series debuted way back on the Game boy Advance in 2003. Nearly 7 years later Mario and Luigi’s RPG escapades are still going strong because of the light hearted humor and simple RPG battles in their games. And since its inception the series has made the jump to the DS, starting with the sequel to the original, Partners in Time, which saw Mario and Luigi joined by the baby versions of themselves and going forward and backward in time to save the princess. While it was a great game it wasn’t as funny or as challenging as the original to me.

Now Alpha Dream is on to its third game in the series, Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story and I was interested because it swaps out the babies and replaces them with Bowser, whom I thought, would be a much more interesting character. Does Inside Story innovate the series far enough to be interesting? It's not a reinvention of the wheel but it gets the job done to make another interesting tale in the franchise.
