vParticle is now free in the app store!

I love this game, but I just had the light version so when I got an email from Vladimir (creator of vParticles) telling me that it is now free, I had to let everyone know. Check it out!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 Fans Rejoice

Aliens vs. Predator is at the precipice of 11-years-old and still kicking with its recently released Classic 2000 edition going on Steam for a modest cost of five bucks. Unfortunately, hardcore fans waited with joy for their patches and purchases to load only to find out that they had to prolong their wet-dreams as the online multiplayer feature still would be unveiled at a slightly later date.

PS3 Review: Darksiders

Darksiders caught my attention when I first read about its (mostly) original story, and how many people told me it was a combination of the Legend of Zelda and God of War, with hints of other games like Portal, added in for good measure. At first I thought that this would be a great combination, Legend of Zelda's fantastic puzzles combined with God of War's fun and gruesome combat could make for some good times. As I kept playing, however, repetition and a ridiculous amount of "borrowing" from the other games started to show that this game wasn't as great as it sounded.

HTC's Latest and Greatest Magic Trick

Boy what a great time to be an HTC MyTouch3G / Magic owner -- well maybe not depending on which handset you own. As of today the HTC European site has released an updated ROM featuring the beloved Sense UI. Those that are observant enough, take note that this dispatch is dubbed 3.05.401.3. To use the RUU (ROM Update Utility) you'll need to use a Windows PC -- alas no support for Macs yet -- If you opt to update your Magic be aware that this update does completely format your handset -- Back up or reap the consequences.

There is unfortunately one little caveat that we forgot to mention. HTC is currently making this update available for non-branded "with Google" handsets -- phone version PVT32A. That's right, all those that splurged on the with Google handsets are left out in the dark (myself included). Seems that Google is going the route of Apple and only allowing updates that they deem fit.

Does the iPad really offer the best browsing experience?

Last time I checked the web from my iPhone, millions of sites use flash player. I guess I will have to get used to seeing blue legos and empty white spaces unless sites change to HTML5.

Microsoft Reports Record Revenue Quarter

Microsoft reports this quarter they've earned more than $19 billion dollars in revenue, and it's all thanks in part to fan favorite, Windows 7; Selling over 60 million copies since its release in late October, the sleek and sexy operating system has become the fastest selling OS ever released. Turning popular opinion on its head, Windows 7 gave Microsoft another chance at life and made the common PC user think twice before switching over to a MAC - and how could you blame them for considering it after the monstrosity that was Vista, and all those quirky yet lovable "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads - we heart you John Hodgman

Windows 7 made owning a PC fun again, and it's given some credibility back to a company that appeared down and beaten. I'm not trying to sound like an ad here myself, but I love everything about Windows 7, and if you haven't gotten the chance to upgrade yet you really should consider it. And as a dedicated PC user, I doubt I'll ever switch exclusively to a Mac because of it... that is unless Apple wants to start sponsoring us and hand me a Macbook Pro to try out, which in that case I might not toot Microsoft's horn so much. Hey, I've been defending the iPad left and right all over the internets these passed few days - I think I deserve some recognition!
