Cheap Earbuds and Free Tacos

Official iPod earbuds can cost a pretty penny after you've misplaced them or accidentally let them go through a washer/ dryer ordeal. Here is a cheap alternative when you find yourself needing a replacement set of earbuds - MEElectronics AI-M2 Sound-isolating Earbud Headphones. It's a long name but the few reviews its received have nothing but good things.

Buy.com has them for $6.99 + Free Shipping

And how about some free taco's? Is Taco Bell okay? Cuz I found myself an online, printable coupon good for one free fresco taco. The only catch is that the coupon is only good until 1 million of them are redeemed. The site's small print does however say that the site will announce when they've reached the limit - saving you the embarrassment of going down to the restaurant and being told your coupon has expired.

PS3 Review: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Definitely one of the most hyped games this year, Uncharted 2 was being marketed as an “amazing graphical experience on the PS3 with intense shooter gameplay and a story with much more varied locations and more memorable characters then the original. It's no secret that it indeed followed through on all its promises and became the one true solid PS3 experience everyone was waiting for - but what exactly was it that made it become this year's potential Game of the Year winner?

RIAA's Anti-Piracy Plan so far - Threats with no Action

From my own knowledge and experience, if you get caught file sharing a music or movie file, the RIAA (Record Industry Association of America) or MPAA (Movie Picture Association of America) contacts your ISP to give you a notice; a notice that your IP address was detected in an illegal copyright violation. From there your ISP usually interrupts your service, asking you to contact them to resolve the issue. Once you call them they'll tell you that they were contacted by a particular studio or label and told that your IP address was found to be file sharing. You can then act dumb or say that someone else did it, and then your ISP will reconnect you, giving you 2 more strikes until they completely cut you off.

Here's the thing - the RIAA cannot really put the pin on you since they never saw YOU do anything.

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime sits Down with Fox News to talk Wii strategy

Not many companies have the stones to go on Fox News, but Nintendo is a conservative company, so I'm sure it isn't hard to be invited. Though, I loved how the lady said that very violent games like Call of Duty are on other systems, and then Reggie comes back and says that COD and Grand Theft Auto are both on Nintendo platforms. Loved that moment.

And how about ducking the question of when we can expect a new console from Nintendo. Innovation in software? Give me a break. A much higher powered Wii, or Wii HD, would get the core gamer excited with Nintendo all over again, but as the interview told, Nintendo already has the hardcore in their back pockets and it's time to focus on everyone else.

Yuck - the new 27-inch iMac is not working

Ok, I am going to say it, the new 27" iMac sucks, and a lot of people are thinking the exact same thing. Their giant screens are failing left and right, and they were shipping DOA last month. MG Siegler from TechCrunch has been noticing his new iMac is sucking pretty bad.

I’m back with the same constant flickering and random screen shutoffs that have plagued many of us. It basically makes the machine unusable.

Apparently thousands of people are ranting and raving over at the Apple support forums and 99% of them are blazing mad. Earlier this month, it was reported that Apple was delaying further shipments of the 27-inch iMacs until it could get to the bottom of the screen issue. Lots of us thought that it would be the end of this, but unfortunately it was not. Lets hope the issue gets fixed soon, or Apple could loose its credibility of building "perfect" computers.

Twitter Users Re-Enact "Home Alone" Word for Word, Tweet by Tweet

'Tis the season for Home Alone - one of my favorite movies ever. And what better way to celebrate the occasion than by re-enacting the entire movie by tweets. I heard about people doing collaborative storytelling with Twitter before, but this shows the creative practice in use. Kudos to all who're involved.

Take care of the Tree, or you Might Pay for it with your Home

Wired put up this video almost a year ago, but it shouldn't be forgotten. As seen in the video a Christmas tree can light up with a second, as if Johnny Storm lit a fire under its butt. If you've got yourself a tree then be sure to take the usual precautions since they can be highly flammable.

Leave out a fire extinguisher near those milk and cookies if you're paranoid.
