New iPhone prototype on the loose - according to User Data

Which one of these is not like the other ones? -- and yes there is a prototype iPhone in the wild. The crazy part is it was discovered by an iPhone development company called Pandav, which makes the iBart app. They spotted the prototype this month in stats provided by their analytics firm Pinch Media. The usage logs for the first time showed a phone identified as “iPhone3,1″, even though the last iPhone, the 3GS, identifies itself as “iPhone2,1″.

When will we see it? Don't get your hopes up. MacRumors reminds us that the iPhone 3GS first showed up in usage records 8 months before launch. We should expect this new iPhone sometime in the middle of 2010.

10 Best torrent sites besides Mininova

Lots of us rely on one torrent site, usually the most popular. For those of us who mainly use Mininova, its time for a change. Ever since Last August, a Dutch court ruled that Mininova had to remove all links to ‘infringing’ torrent files, with disastrous consequences.

Now the only torrents that are accepted are by those users who are "approved". Thankfully, there are still plenty of alternatives for you, check them out!

Download - Dell releases Custom version of Chrome OS

According to the Dell blog post, the USB key image file (available here: http://linux.dell.com/files/cto) only works on Dell Mini 10v computers. Most importantly, the build makes the built-in Broadcom Wi-Fi adapter on these machines functional, a feature needed when running a web-based OS. After all, what good is a cloud operating system if you have to be tethered to an ethernet cable?

The blog post includes instructions on how to copy the USB image file to a USB flash drive, but unfortunately the directions are aimed only at those who have access to another Linux machine. We're not sure why Windows and Mac users couldn't just modify the instructions found on this website to make their own Dell Chromium OS USB keys by substituting the Dell build for the one hosted on that site.

What if Star-Wars characters used Facebook?

Social networking helps us stay connected, and stay up to date on what our friends (or co workers) are doing. I'm sure that Darth has some sort of T1 line installed in the Deathstar, so Facebook would be a powerful tool for the gang. It could also be an issue if some of them don't mark their profile private. I wonder if they use twitter? The only thing left is 4Square.

The King of Fighters Movie Trailer... I'm going to go throw up now

I saw The Legend of Chun Li opening night with a full house, mostly just for laughs, and I don't regret it. But this. This trailer for the upcoming King of Fighters movie just possibly may be the worst trailer to a video game movie ever. I mean, at least Uwe Boll's movies gave respect to the source material. This is just embarrassing. I don't know why Ray Park (Darth Maul - Star Wars, Snake Eyes - GI Joe) tied himself to this. If anything he should've taken the part as Iori instead of Rugal - would've fit his style a lot better.

PS3 Review: Assassin's Creed 2

The first Assassin's Creed was, in my opinion, a very good game with some annoying flaws that kept it from achieving what could have made it an excellent game; frustrating mechanics and ridiculous amounts of repetition. Still, I thought that the story was very interesting and that the game was very immersive -exploring and climbing up a huge tower, or castle, to take a look at the great view can really get you into the experience. And it looked pretty nice at the time too. Those were some of the best parts of the original Assassin's Creed but the question is, did the developers listen to the critics and players and improve it upon the sequel? Or should Assassin's Creed 2 just be assassinated altogether?
