the Best Free facebook apps for Windows mobile
We can all agree that most Windows mobile apps sort of lack in the "esthetics" category. Lets admit it, most Windows Mobil apps today look like they were made to corrospond with the styles of 2002. Here is an example, and yes that's what I mean, uuugly!
Anyways, in this post I'll show you some nice Windows mobile facebook apps that look almost as good as they work.
Xperia X1 Facebook Panel
For Sony Ericson
Sony Ericsson has always touted the panels interface as a development platform, and it appears at least some action is taking place there.
SE has just released a new facebook panel which by all accounts is rather excellent, allowing pretty full featured interactions.
Official Universal facebook app
For windows mobile 6.5
XDA Developers have extracted the new Facebook application that comes with Windows Mobile 6.5, which has a very nice and clean user interface.
The application has been reported to work on WVGA, VGA and QVGA devices. You need to download and install the application to Device (it will not work if installed elsewhere); be patient at first run as it will take some time to download all the information it needs. While it's a new application from an early Windows Mobile 6.5 beta, there are still some problems reported like not saving login info even if "save info" is checked, not showing friends IDs if they are not one of your friends
Later edit:
Seems like the app can be run on a Windows Mobile Standard (non touch-screen edition) device too.
In-the-browser Facebook App
For any device (and yes windows mobile too!)
For those who want something more full featured than the mobile version of Facebook (via m.facebook.com) when you go on your mobile browser, but don't want the full Facebook to load, you can access the iPhone's version of Facebook, which is developed like a web application.
I prefer the iPhone Facebook portal because it doesn't look like everything is scrunched to fit a column view. Instead, it has tabs at the top to jump around different sections of Facebook.
You can visit the portal by typing iphone.facebook.com into your mobile browser.
