Shorten your URL's with a Click

Twitter's 140 character limit has spawned a new way to think of URL's. Bit.ly is the new standard for shortening links, but now it's gotten even easier. On their site you can drag and drop their sidebar onto your browser's bookmark bar, which now lets you simply click it and generate for you a shortned URL whenever you're at page you'd like to share.

Another feature on the main site is being able to directly upload a piece of media (picture, video, audio) and give it its own shareable, shortened link. In essence Bit.ly has become a one stop shop for twitter, facebook, or anywhere else you'd like to dump a link to share with your friends.
