Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 Fans Rejoice
Aliens vs. Predator is at the precipice of 11-years-old and still kicking with its recently released Classic 2000 edition going on Steam for a modest cost of five bucks. Unfortunately, hardcore fans waited with joy for their patches and purchases to load only to find out that they had to prolong their wet-dreams as the online multiplayer feature still would be unveiled at a slightly later date.
I sat in my step-brother's room the following night and watched a 20-something-year-old squeal like an ecstatic child as multiplayer finally, and officially, updated onto his Steam account. The ping was high (if only for those players) and the game rooms were few, but hell if he didn't feel complete. And I quote, “Fans like me have been lactating in eagerness for this until the new AVP comes out in a month. Get ready for my Deluxe Edition plastic Facehugger being thrown at you!”
I love my step-brother.
The sound and graphics are as crisp and clear as the day the original first came out. I could go on but it'd be redundant as it is simple, clean and as substantial as any other game boasting such an attribute. It should work with near flawlessness on the simplest processor, so don't fret if you're not up-to-date. Color me impressed and satisfied.
If any other AVP fanatics didn't know about the newest Alien vs. Predator Classic 2000 release then shame on you; set forth and download! Nothing can go wrong with a revamped bit of nostalgia...
Actually, nix that last statement.
I'll be getting my greedy little hands on the PC AND PS3 version February 16th so any computer junkies that are hard-pressed and couldn't afford a next gen console, or are more inclined toward computer gaming: I will be there for you and the Sony followers. Enjoy my friends, and if you're a Marine, you are my hero.
Ashout!
