How To: Return your Slow Mac back to Normal Speed

Lately, many people have started to encounter problems with their Macs running extremely slow - I being one of them. So I'm here to offer a few good solutions.
Unlike Windows computers, Mac computers don't defragment and it's a pain to reinstall your OS, or any other program for that matter. Hopefully, most of you regularly back up your precious data using Time Machine, but if you don't start now!
The steps are simple:
1. Back-up your entire system using Time Machine for typically a couple of days to ensure it works right.
2. Make sure you back- up one last time.
3. Snag a copy of you installer disk and reformat your entire system.
4. Run the new system and select to install a back-up.
5. Select the back- up for the computer you just reformat.
6. Let Time Machine install everything and... Presto! Faster computer!
The reason your system will run faster is because this process puts back all your files where they should be, making it easier for everything to be found. In a way like it's like defragmenting for a Mac but who cares, it works!
Note: You might have to re-enter your registration keys for all your programs, so if you possibly have "illegal" applications, not that any of us ever would, you will need those again.
Hopefully this quick how to helps your Mac run like you just bought it again.
