5 Best Firefox 4 beta Themes you missed
Firefox looks great out of the box, but it lacks that personal touch that it’s famous for. With Firefox 4 in beta we’re almost at the day for it’s release, so it’s time to get a head start customizing your stuff before your friends beat you to it — you’ll have you’re Firefox all pimped out when they haven’t even clicked the “update” button yet — Come see our top 5 hand picked themes you missed out on!
Firefox 4 Beta Themes
Minimal Alpha 1
“This concept has been inspired by netbook users and aims to provide them with more content, and less wasted space.” — BoneyardBrew, Creator
Important
You need to download and install the Addon Compatibility Reporter.
TwentyTen2
Super Clean and really minimalistic, TwentyTen2 is really a perfect match for people looking to save screen realistate. The theme features a beautiful Aero finish and orange accents with little else in your way.
Content is front and center once again, and this is a sure fit for your suite of great looking apps.
Drifus
This is about as clean as it gets. No borders, no boxes and no distractions. This theme is truly the simplest we can find. The URL bar is simply a line of text surrounded by nothing, and the tabs are really translucent.
Mac OS X Theme
If you want to bring some Mac OS X into your PC, this is the perfect way to do it. “Mac OS X Theme” is the only good Apple-ish theme for Firefox 4 beta, and we’re glad we found it.
One complaint is it’s a little out-dated when compared side-to-side with Apple’s current OS — but a few minor details is nothing to worry about.
MX3
We really like the look of MX3 for two main reasons: it stays true to the usability of Firefox’s default theme, and it also has it’s own spin.
The blue really looks great, and the dark top bar really feels new and fresh. This is just a good all-round theme.
Bonus: Firefox 4 Visual adjustments
Personal Titlebar
This is one of the neatest addons we’ve found — it’s a customization that allows you to add personalizations to the bar above your tabs (which is super cool) and helps neaten up the browser overall. This one is a little more functional.
Movable Firefox Button
“After install, Firefox Button will be placed in Tab Bar in default. You may move it with “View —> Toolbars —> Customize…”. Firefox Button will be available in Full Screen Mode if you place it in Navigation Toolbar or Tab Bar.” — Merci chao, Creator
