63% of iPhone users will stick with AT&T, even if exclusivity is lost
“A new survey from Credit Suisse says 63% of iPhone owners will stick with AT&T, even if it loses the exclusive right to sell the phone” — BusinessInsider
That’s quite shocking, due to the fact that all we hear is “AT&T sucks” on news sites and the mouths of tech pundits. It’s very revealing to know that over half of AT&T iPhone users will stick with the carrier, even if Verizon gets the iPhone as well — and although we don’t know the demographic that this survey was conducted on, it is sure an interesting bit of info nevertheless… and AT&T will still have 18 Million iPhone users after 4 years of exclusivity.
But there’s also a flip side to this — if 63% of AT&T iPhone users are going to stick with that carrier no matter what, it also means that a whopping 37% of iPhone users are willing to leave AT&T if the carrier were to loose exclusivity — with a giant 23% of those users heading to Verizon. If Verizon were to get a hold of the iPhone, would you switch?
