App of the Week: Quad Camera

Ever want to take a picture of 5 different people and create a giant picture with everyone? Thankfully Quad Camera is here to help you with that and more. Quad Camera won Best App Ever Award2009 in the Photography App category, and continues to improve. Today’s review will have plenty of examples and show you just why this app won this awesome award.

Quad Camera, like most apps, is extremely easy to use. Upon launching the app, select the time in between each photo, the layout, color enhancements, and start shooting. The timer helps you set up each shot or take up to 8 photos within a few seconds. The app is perfect for when you take a picture of your individual friends and want all to be in one single picture. After you take the picture, you can tweet it, or email it from the bottom right button.

Main functions include:

  •  4 or 8 serial shoots.
  •  Set 0.1-3 seconds serial shoot duration.
  •  4 effects, bright, vivid, dull, hi-con, black&white and no-effect.
  •  various layout variation: 2x2, 4x1, 4x2, 8x1.
  •  Resolution 800*600*.
  •  Email, Twitter Export.
  •  Animated GIF Export.

The new animated GIF feature is awesome because it’s easy and it looks great. Most GIF images take a while to produce and are extremely grainy, but Quad Cameras GIF looks awesome. The app is fun to mess around with and can get some cool photos for your Facebook or Myspace.
