GTA IV graphics now looks better than GTA 5 ever will, thanks to iCEnhancer + ENB

When the first GTA IV gameplay trailers were released, people were completely dumbfounded. How could a world this large be so detailed, varied, filled with life and how would that generation hardware handle it? It looked amazing, and it took the world by storm… but it’s been 3 and a half years and GTA IV is looking a little rusty compared to this years new titles. Now, some vigilante gamers are in the crunch, re-building GTA IV for everyone.

They are re-building GTA IV

A small group of gamers who have opened up a Youtube channel to show their progress have taken on the task of re-building GTA IV. “I’m actually redoing ped models & textures. My friend Vanni is doing the buildings & trees. And it’s amazing.” one of the gamers says. It’s truly astonishing that the raw love for a game can drive someone to pour their life into re-building it.

The extent of their improvements range from depth of field, bokeh filters, color correction, reflections, motion blur, textures, models, lens flare and shadows. They’re not stopping at looks though — recently, a new GTA IV SCO editor was released, so the team is now making plans to re-work the missions and tighten up story mechanics.
