Making your Nexus One Screen Turn Red Increases Battery Life?
In this strange experiment, someone tries to extend the Nexus One’s battery life by turning off “unnecessary sub-pixel LEDs.” As it turns out, a completely red screen uses 42% less power compared to a full color screen. As one wise commenter points out, a simpler way to save battery life without harming your eyes would be to turn off the screen completely.
