Sparrow for Mac is Email simplified to the extreme
If you are like me, you are crazy ADD when it comes to managing email — all over the place — replying, checking, sending, checking again, chatting… it always gets to be too much and then you get behind. Since Gmail came about, I have spent more time managing email than ever… not because it is easier, but because there is so much crap to do. Settings for this, apps for that, themes for everything — why can’t we get back to basics?
Sparrow for Mac is the Tweetie of email clients
This is what Sparrow looks like. It is neat, clean cut and simple — it’s also is small and compact, so you can drag it around wherever you need it. It seems to have “copied” Tweetie (Twitter app for Mac), but there are a lot of things that set it apart from Tweetie… Well, I can’t really think of any, but you get the point right?…. right?
The idea was to make an insanely simple email client that will make managing email a much simpler task — like the fact that it looks like an iPad app. Very few buttons, and lots of whitespace.
Currently, Sparrow only supports Gmail, but future beta releases are stated to have further support for more email providers and since it is a DIY project, bugs and problems are still being reported, but as of now they have nabbed most of them. If you don’t download this now… your crazy.
