Swackett - the visual guide to weather and staying fashionable

You’ve been inside for a while and you’re wondering what’s the weather like outside and what you should wear. Most of us either visit weather.com, look onto your Yahoo or iGoogle homepage, or go onto our iPhone’s weather app to help us decide. Well, what if there was a site that was able to tell you what it feels like outside by displaying the types of clothes recommended? Well, Swackett is just that site.

Not only is Swackett an easy to remember name but once you get into the web app you have everything you need weather-wise without having to click to another page on the site. Simply input your location and viola, you’re thrown into a hub with all the visual aids you’d ever need to tell you what the temperature feels like outside. Immediately your eyes will be drawn to the fashionably dressed stick figures in the center of the screen which will indicate immediately how hot or cold it is outside, or weather you’ll need to pack an umbrella or an extra pair of snow shoes.

Various conditions are shown via the tabbed panel directly loaded in the center, such as the current conditions, today’s forecast, tonight’s forecast, and tomorrow’s as well. The high’s, low’s, and even weather symbols all describe in detail every bit of information you’d need for your day adventure out in the wild. Not to mention that the slick wording like “some sun, a shower; warmer” really does sum up everything a tv weatherman could ever say.

And if that isn’t enough and you need to prepare for the week or even just a time that isn’t listed, scroll down and look at the hourly, weekly, and weather radars displayed further below on the page. With weather never looking as sweet and as simple why ever use another weather service again? Oh, and did I mention that there’s an iPhone and iPad version on its way.
