Top 5 Super Bowl commercials of 2011

With the Super Bowl coming in less than 24 hours, the ads are starting to emerge and as usual they are awesome. Every company dreams of having a Super Bowl commercial, but only few can afford the millions of dollars it takes to be in front of the world on the biggest day in sports. Here, we run down the top 5 Super Bowl ads of 2011!

Number 5 - Kia “One Wild Ride”

Nothing about this commercial is “practical” and it may not make any “sense”, but the bottom line is people love it and it’s just plain awesome — but the lack of story puts it at number 5.

Number 4 - Volkswagen “Black Beetle”

The Beetle is one of the worlds most iconic cars, and it’s production has gone a bit stale. There hasn’t been any major revisions to the car and words can’t really explain how fun this commercial is. Once you get to the last few seconds, the excitement will sink in.

Number 3 - Doritos “Best Part”

This commercial is awekward, funny and truthful. It’s really worth watching over and over again to see the look on that guys face once he gets his fingers sucked on!

    Number 2 - Chevy “Bumblebee”

Once I started playing the commercial I was so confused as to why a local car dealership could afford an ad spot on the Super Bowl, and I thought it was going to be a really crappy ad. But once I saw Bumblebee emerge, my eyes were glued to the screen.

    Winner - Volkswagen “The Force”

If any superbowl ad can speak to your child-hood it’s this one. Every kid who saw Staw Wars wanted force powers so bad, and if remote car starters were common back in the 90’s, my childhood would have been so epic…
