Warner Confirms Batman: Arkham City for Fall 2011 Release

Warner has just confirmed the official name of the sequel to Rocksteady studio’s acclaimed game Batman: Arkham Asylum. Entitled Batman: Arkham City, we also got additional info on it, with confirmation of the game being set in Arkham City “the new maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.” The game will also feature a brand new narrative, a “vast range of new and enhanced” features and a fix to the X-Ray vision to ensure that you don’t play with it on for the entire game.
GameInformer also revealed it’s two magazine covers and along with Batman on the front page, we can also see Catwoman and blood on the caped crusader’s suit, which could imply a more mature tone to the game.
The game will be releasing on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Games For Windows in Fall 2011. No word on exclusive PS3 content or new villains other than the already confirmed Joker, Harley Quinn and the rumored Two-Face, Mr.Freeze and Talia Al Ghul.
