This week, our web-comic radar points to the master of facial expression and oddball humor, Tyson Hesse’s webcomic Boxer Hockey. This series comes with a bit of a warning, its a little bit like syrup covered pancakes — you start with just one, than another, than before you know it, your done them all, and craving some more.
Tyson Hesse seemed to be so talented with facial expressions, that he decided to share that talent, and has impressed everyone including the web-comic veteran Scott R. Kurtz , the author of the vastly popular PvP Online. Scott has said that he can learn up to 5 different tricks to use just by reading a single comic by Tyson.
This particular comic is about a rag-tag team called the Mekpens, who plays Boxer Hockey — a sport thats a cross of Irish stick fighting, Soccer, MMA fighting, and is played in boxers. As weird as this seems, this allows for some crazy on field antics. The adventure is far from only on the field, as the storyline follows them on their travels around the world, from airplane crashes to down under. Read Boxer Hockey here.
