This is by far the best representation of real life I have ever seen on the web, and I can say that with complete confidence. The richness of the colors, depth of the shadows and pitch perfect bright skies make this the reality to beat.
The video was crafted by Soviet Montage, a small studio based in San Francisco, using two Canon 5D Mark II’s and a beam splitter. The camera’s were set to use a different exposure setting — one 5D was under exposed, and the other was over exposed. They used a mountain of HDR processing tools to combine the videos from the two cameras, and that’s what you see above — Truly amazing.
