Video: Motorola "iDont" Droid Ad - Direct hits at iPhone
This is the new TV spot for the Motorola Droid, the brainchild of Google, Verizon and Motorola. It is rumored to include a powerful OMAP3430 processor, 5 megapixel camera, slideout QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, all housed in a super-compact package and running Android 2.0.
The sad part about this commercial is that it looks more like an ad for a horror flick than a smartphone. Nobody will know what the heck that commercial is for. The commercial starts out highlighting things that the iPhone can't do -- no Background apps, no physical keyboard, no open software delvelopment, un-accessible battery among other things -- and using Apple's trademark black text on white background.
After the on-screen rant, they display the words "everything iDont" then they cut to a Sci-Fi distorted animation, using the "Droid" logo and it says "Droid Does" and then it goes back to the distorted animation. Don't get us wrong, this is a great commercial, its just a horrible smartphone commercial. Your thoughts?
