Squarespace - Review, everything you need to know plus coupon codes

the T3ch H3lp podcast has a new sponsor, Squarespace. We are proud to have such a well rounded company as Squarespace to be our first sponsor. The cool part is we now have a way to get you a Squarespace account at 10% off.

Squarespace is the most advanced, redundant and easy to use blogging platform. It simply blows the doors of anything Wordpress or .mac has to offer and it has one of the most advanced WISYWIG editors on the planet. One of the downsides is you cannot use the Squarespace software on your own server, that's a bummer because the software is the most advanced we have seen in a while from a CMS.

Content Management

As you can see this is a post I am working on, and in fact it is this one. The editor is very clean and easy to use, but suprizingly, its very functional. You can edit the raw HTML and also you can perform a wide variety of operations like font size, styles, alignment and more advanced things like file attachments for podcasts, and attributes like References and a summary.

Styles, CSS and Customization

Squarespace takes customization to a whole new level. They make it so your rockin' mom can change the color, size and style of links just by clicking on the element (in this case, the links) and use the handy tools and gizmos in the bottom panel to make them all pretty and stylish.

Also for you code monkeys, Squarespace gives you full control over the CSS, and we mean control. You can assign custom css in the editor so no longer do you have to stare at code for hours and do a lot of guess work, but you can click on your styled element, and adjust everything, yes everything. Also you can dive right in and chug away at the raw CSS if need be.

Website Managment

No longer do you have to have to browser windows open to change your post, or style in one browser, then refresh the page to see if you got it right, sorta. Now everything is done in real time (only if published it will be visible to the public) and you can edit posts, drag and drop links and modules, all without leaving that one page. You can see in the pic that we have some "pill" buttons that we can use to edit, and manage the post.

Also Squarespace provides intense options when it comes to back end management, like code injection -- which allows you to implement any code where ever you want in the structure of your site.  Also you can have multiple editors, members and set permissions on different parts -- and even small stuff like links, and modules -- on your site.

They also give you a free domain example.squarespace.com and they also give you domain mapping options. There are just too many things to fit on-to an article (its impossible) so why not get the full experience?

Where do I get this?

The neat part is before you take any drastic measures you get to use it for free. No credit cards, personal info or commitments. You get a 14 day trial to see if you like it. You can do it right now for gods sake!

The really really neat part is you can use our coupon code to get 10% of the lifetime of your order.

The Verdict

Pros: Squarespace is the post advanced blogging/publishing tool ever. Period. It has some of the best support (Human support) to help you with whatever you need. Also their built in software is not just fancy and pretty, its functional and stable. Squarespace is perfect for bloggers, advanced or personal | Photographers | and businesses. Squarespace is simply smarter publishing.

Cons: Although Squarespace is amazing, the software is not available for download. Also at first the price may seem a bit steep, but a good chunk of the cost is based on their software, which no-one else has.
