Weekend Vids: Avatar Motion Capture, Lip Dubs, and Christmas morning
This week, Weekend Vids is a little different. Ricardo's ISP is on the fritz, so I will be covering for him in this weeks installment of Weekend Vids. This week we have some in-depth footage of the motion capture tech in Avatar. Then we head off to a local High School in ShoreWood with an amazing lip dub of "Hey Yah!". Then we enjoy Christmas morning with a kid who is hilariously happy with his new Xbox 360.
Avatar Motion Capture
Ever wondered how the hell James managed to get all that expression, feeling and realistic motion out of those CGI models? In his latest film, Avatar, Mr. Cameron shows us how he changed the way films are made forever. It is truly amazing to see how far we have come in not only technology, but creating something from nothing.
Hey Yaaauughh!
This is probably the greatest music video dub ever. All the work that went into this, in one continuous shot. This video is produced by the Shorecrest video department. It is directed by Nathan Kartchner and Cody Will-Braton, James Huffman as creative consultant Director of photography and Steadicam operation by Kollin O'Dannel. Also they have an epic video dub that is also one continuous shot, bit in reverse!
Christmas morning - the way it should be
I'm tired of seeing those videos of rotten kids "not getting what they want" or "freaking out". This is truly a nice kid who is just happy and appreciative of Christmas, the poor kid cries for god sakes! This is a kid who understands how to act, and feel on Christmas morning. Lots of "Thank you's" and hugs.
