Free SMS for iPhone and iPod touch, can it be? - Yes it can, with Ping!

We have all done the whole "Jailbreak" stuff and used piles of useless apps that promise "Free SMS" and "SMS for iPod touch". But usually you have to either jump through hoops to get the damn thing to work, or the app just sucks.
Well, your iPrayers have been answered! This Ping app by the guy who made PushGmail is a mix between text messaging and instant messaging. What you need to know is that it's free and it's fast. It is a whole new way to communicate with friends who also use the Ping service.
Ping looks like a very nice SMS app, and functions alot like one too. The messages you send arrive at the recipient's screen instantly, similar to IMs, but also pop up with a Push Notification if you're not using the phone right then.
This is exciting because this is free, and you just have to get your friends to sign up for Ping. This is a awesome, must have app for the iPhone and especially the iTouch.
