Calls Made Over 3G now A-OK with Apple and AT&T

It appears that the latest updates made to the SDK for the iPhone software had a couple of changes done - changes to the restrictions on VoIP calls done over 3G to be specific. This limitation was responsible for the increasing quarrel between Apple and Google when their Google Voice app was shot down for approval. It was getting to be common place that an app could not be approved if it conflicted with services already being hosted on the iPhone.
I'm guessing the At&t pressure is easing off now that Apple signed an exclusive deal with them to provide 3G data plans for the upcoming iPad. With a 3G connection you can call anyone for free to their desktop, iPhone, or iPad without the need for a calling plan. iCall is relishing in the moment right now, as it's claims to be the first app to ever offer this service, though, they won't be the only ones for too long as you better believe Skype is working around the clock to get in on the action. I wonder if Google will resubmit their app...
