Parrot AR.Drone - Quad helicopter controlled with your iPhone

If this does not make you wish that you were flying this right now, what will? This is truly an amazing example of what is possible when you take something as complicated as a small scale helicopter with four blades, and add some simplicity to it by giving the pilot full control, just using his iPhone using WiFi!

The drone has an on-board camera so you can have a 1st person view of where you are going. It is stabilized by a combination of accelerometers, gyros and sonar sensors. It has stabilizing technology that allows it to recognize the look of the surface below it so it can stabilize and return to its same position if its windy or bumped. They also include the source code for their apps.
