Video: Compal Android Tablet demo - includes Nvidia Tegra chipset
CES 2010 has been tablet-ville and for a good reason, every single company it seems is trying to steal Apples thunder for their release of the Apple tablet on January 26th, but the question is, are these any good? This one seems to be ok -- This 7-inch tablet runs Android 2.0 and armed with Wifi -- but there is no Bluetooth or GPS to be seen. On the top there was a SIM card slot as well as a microSD card slot for extra storage. There is also an HDMI out port around the side which is a nice touch.
Even though it is "pretty cool" it still is plauged with issues -- like its rocking a resistive touchscreen instead of a capacitive one. Also, even though it has the next-gen Tegra chip inside, Engadgets experience with the slate was pretty awkward.
