"Lots of DLC for Mass Effect 2" and Mass Effect 3 News.....Wait We're Already Talking About It?
Mass Effect 2 is coming out in just two weeks and it's looking like another stellar game from Bioware. The combat looks improved, the story and characters look more interesting then the first, and some undoubtedly excellent storytelling will be present throughout the entire second act of the trilogy.
But what about the third game?
The second game isn't even out yet and IGN has posted a Video Interview with Casey Hudson, the Project Director on Mass Effect 2, as well as a short article, on the subject of Mass Effect 3 at CES 2010. Hudson goes on to talk about how they have already started to work on the third game. He also mentions that they are developing lots of great DLC for Mass Effect 2, so you can "play them while you wait for the final act of the trilogy."
While Bioware makes great games, their DLC is another story. Most of them are very short experiences and don't provide much meaningful content but hopefully Mass Effect 2 will remedy that.
Hudson also drops some details on Mass Effect 3...... yes, even though the second game isn't out, we're already getting interviews about the next game. He talks about how all your choices will have a very meaningful ending in the third game and that they hope to get Mass Effect 3 on store shelves faster then the gap between the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. So, if all goes well, you'll be playing it before the next 2 years.
So are you excited for Mass Effect 2? Do you think the DLC will be any good this time around? Only time will tell! Come to T3CH H3LP in the coming weeks for our full review.
