First Bioshock 2 DLC Pack Revealed
2K Games brought you Bioshock 2 this month and while it wasn't as good as the original, it was still a great game. One thing Ricardo and I weren't so enthusiastic about was Bioshock 2's multiplayer, which is still broken on PC by the way, which just doesn't pack enough of a punch to compete with other "better" multiplayer shooters out there.
Well regardless, 2K Games seems to think Bioshock 2's multiplayer has some kind of fanbase, with the company announcing it's first multiplayer focused DLC for the game, entitled the "Sinclair Solutions Test Pack."
Specific to multiplayer, the DLC will feature an increase to the level cap from 40 to 50, two new playable characters: Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca, a third upgrade for all your weapons and a few additional masks and trials. The DLC is planned to release sometime in March for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on PSN.
What really interests me is that 2K continues to state that "in the coming months there will be more content which include Single player extensions" which 2K promises will "provide new insight into the world of Rapture" with "more narrative, new tools, and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed Utopia under the sea."
While I'm not excited about multiplayer updates, especially when multiplayer still doesn't even work on the PC, hopefully 2K can get some good Singleplayer DLC soon, which might encourage some people to make another return trip to Rapture.
No release date for the DLC yet, just an ambiguous "soon" was mentioned.
