MIT student puts a musical Tesla Coil on his hat - Video
Of all the geeky hats in the world, it can’t get any better than having an actual Tesla Coil on your head. The MIT student who created the Tesla Hat has a blog which is quite interesting to flip through, and he also has a pretty expansive breakdown of his Tesla hat. The video pretty much speaks for itself… awesome!
This is the new Okay Geek
We’d like to welcome you to the best thing we’ve ever created. We’ve been working on this for months in secrecy and we were at one point on schedule to make an official release on Friday, but we had to rush things a tad. Due to un-forseen failures on the internet, we needed to push an early release before the duct-tape peeled off the old site. We’d like to take this time to answer any questions you have and get you in the loop…
Youtube Re-design in the works focusing on Google+ & Subscriptions

Who is using Geo-location apps and services? - Infographic
Geo-location can be a scary thing, I mean putting yourself out there on a map (of all places) for everyone to see sounds like an insane thing to do, but for anyone who’s up for it can enjoy the luxury of knowing where their friends are — there are upsides and downsides to Geo-based apps. Below is a pretty slick summary of who took the risk and is reaping the benifits.

iPhone folder glitch allows you to place a folder inside a folder - Video
A folder inside a folder? We’ve gone too deep and crashed the phone! Well, that’s what the guy at FuriousTechnology have done. You can use a little slight of hand (and a little luck) to fool your iPhone into placing a folder inside another folder. This isn’t an issue that needs fixing though, it’s a glitch, that if Apple polished a little, could be fun to use!
How this guy (and many others) snagged a free Battlefield 3 CD Key from EA support
Since the release of Battlefield 3, EA support has been receiving calls and chats regarding “broken CD keys”. The issue arises when a customer buys a copy of Battlefield 3 and finds out when trying to activate their game that their CD key isn’t working. Obviously, this would make a lot of people angry, but usually issues like this are rare and often happen in isolated cases. If it were the authentication servers, that would be the problem, not the CD keys. EA has been trolled…
Diagram of how every internet and tech company is connected
When someone asks us to think of “a tech company”, connections start firing off in our geek brains. Google, Apple, Microsoft and hundreds more pop into our minds and then the brands they’ve each influenced and maybe some products. What’s interesting though is even if we realize these companies are connected, we don’t really know how deeply connected they actually are. This diagram really lays it out perfectly and shows that everything is one giant mesh of ideas.
