Android Froyo 2.2 scheduled to hit the Motorola Droid X today!

Motorola Droid X owners will be glad to know that their much loved handset will receive Android 2.2 today, on the last joyous day of summer. Currently Verizon’s scheduled to release the Droid’s frozen yogurt treat this afternoon at 12 noon Eastern Standard Time. Anticipating the mass update Verizon’s already put the update document on their site… and well, you’ll be getting more than just plain ol’ Android 2.2. According to the release document, Droid X customers will also receive: an improvement to visual voicemail with Bluetooth support, an updated mobile hotspot app, and a wireless radio fix to prevent dropped data when connected to either WiFi or 3G.
