Android mini collectible (Standard Green) review

Google’s Android mobile operating system has arguably one of the coolest insignias out there - a little green robot that looks a little like a garbage can. Artist Andrew Bell teamed up with Dyzplastic to manufacture a set of mini adult collectible toys based on the design of the logo. Our good friends at Think Geek sent us one of the collectibles in the standard green variety.

The Android mini collectible comes in a nice little cardboard box. covered with an Android pattern and little green Androids. The bottom of the box clarifies “This is a work of art, not a  toy. For ages 15 and up.”

The Android collectible is packaged inside a shiny foil wrapper and packed with foam.

The Android mini collectible stands 3.25” tall and has a diameter of about 1.75”. The rotationally molded wide cylinder of a body attaches to two fat wall plug style legs, allowing the Android to stand by itself.

The head and arms rotate 360 degrees. The eyes, arm joint, and neck are all painted white. Two skinny antennae, manufactured using the injection molding method, stick out of the semi-spherical head.

The matte green paint on the Android is pretty evenly applied. The rear of the figurine has an caligraphic Android etching.
