Rumor: Sonic is a Playable Character in Super Mario Galaxy 2

Yes you read that right, according to NGamer Magazine's Twitter account, an "Inside Source" confirmed that Sonic, one of Sega's most recognizable heroes, will be playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Almost an hour later, there was another twitter post by the magazine stating that there will even be a "Green Hill Galaxy" in the game.

Put simply, it's very unlikely that this is going to happen, it was just a twitter post from a magazine after all, but what if it was true? Mario and Sonic have already teamed up for their terrible Olympic games but do you think Nintendo would trust Sega enough to put Sonic in one of their flagship titles? It seems even more unlikely that he would be a playable character! Also, considering Sonic's track record in 3D games, I really, REALLY, don't want this to happen. Super Mario Galaxy 2 will probably be awesome with or without Sonic's inclusion (preferably without though).

Fallout: New Vegas Releasing in the Fall, New Teaser Trailer

Fallout 3 was a great game, it took the apocalypse and made it into a really fun RPG experience with Bethesda's signature style with lots of great DLC to back it up. But what's been happening in the wasteland in the past few years?

Bethesda has just unveiled a teaser trailer for it's next entry in the series. This time, however, it's being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, who brought you the sequels to many of Bioware's games like KOTOR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2.

The trailer is looking good, showing off Las Vegas, Robots and we also see someone who could be the game's protagonist. Near the end of the trailer they also show that the game is on track for it's release of Fall 2010.

Bethesda definitely left the Fallout series in good hands but do you think Obsidian's entry in the franchise will warrant a purchase?

Final Fantasy 13 to Ship on Three Discs on 360

"Players will only have to swap discs twice during their entire game," according to an anonymous Square Enix rep. Disc swaps have always been a big pet peeve to me and I usually can't stand it - It's a good thing then that the PS3 version of the game is still using only one Blu-Ray disc.

As a gamer, do you care about disc swapping? I guess we'll find out when the game releases worldwide on March 9th.

Bioshock 2 Special Edition Unboxing with a Special Surprise at the End

The great folks over at 2K games just made a video showing off the things you'll find in Bioshock 2's Special Edition. For $100 on consoles and $90 on PC, you will receive 3 advertisement posters in the same vein that you see posted all over Rapture, a Vinyl 180g LP soundtrack of the original Bioshock, a CD with Bioshock 2's musical score and a huge 164 page artbook. You'll also receive the game in a metallic case, making it very noticeable when you display it on your shelf. Put simply, this is a very special edition!

Also, detailed in the trailer is the company's super secret Uber Edition, which contains... well, I'll just let the video speak for itself but let me just say that it would be awesome if anyone receives the contents of this super awesome and, quite frankly, Uber Edition.

Behemoth's Third Game Now Officially Titled "BattleBlock Theatre"

Along with releasing a new trailer (which you can see above), The Behemoth, creators of the fantastic games Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid have finally given a name to their newest project, which up until now has been simply called "Game 3."

Now titled "BattleBlock Theatre," the trailer shows off... well, crazy gameplay combined with many things that don't make much sense. It's pretty typical stuff for Behemoth and it's looking great, although it would be nice to figure out what the heck is going on!

Dragon Age Awakening: Queen of the Black March Trailer

It's a slow day for game news today but to tide over your wait for Dragon Age Awakening's March 16th release, Bioware has unveiled its second trailer for the game, titled the Queen of the Blackmarsh. Even if it's very short, it shows off a new enemy, the Queen of the Blackmarsh.

Man, all these short trailers are getting me more excited to play the expansion to one of my favourite games of 2009!

In other news, the twice delayed DLC, "Return to Ostagar" has finally come out on Xbox 360 and PC with the PS3 version still "coming soon."

PS3 Review: Darksiders

Darksiders caught my attention when I first read about its (mostly) original story, and how many people told me it was a combination of the Legend of Zelda and God of War, with hints of other games like Portal, added in for good measure. At first I thought that this would be a great combination, Legend of Zelda's fantastic puzzles combined with God of War's fun and gruesome combat could make for some good times. As I kept playing, however, repetition and a ridiculous amount of "borrowing" from the other games started to show that this game wasn't as great as it sounded.
