Battlefield 3 Gamescom Multiplayer Trailer Shows Why People are Excited
DICE has gone above and beyond when it comes to crafting Battlefield 3 — the destructible environment, the way the windows bounce off the hood of your jeep as you race to the battle-zone, dried water-spots on your goggles, or the sound of a jet as it peppers the skies with hot lead — people aren’t so much excited about the game itself anymore, they’re excited about feeling it. There’s an undertone in this game (from what we’ve seen) that goes far beyond normal game mechanics and the rush we’ve gotten from FPS’s for the past decade.
Battlefield Multiplayer Gameplay: Gamescom
Something about this game tells me that there’s more to it than we’re already excited about — I just want to be in the battlefield with 63 other players, watching squads advance towards enemy lines as fellow teammates scream through the skies looking for a dogfight, tanks and jeeps gliding through the hills — as I line my sights up with an opponent’s head in a building, go for the kill, and horribly miss thus giving away my position and having to run out of the building like a sissy school girl.
