Facebook is the king of social networks, and keeping people in touch, it always has been and we are starting to wonder if it will stay that way. With the advent of Twitter, Facebook is getting a run for its money. Some people prefer Twitter – some prefer Facebook.

We decided to take the social networking battle a step further and compare the brand new Facebook facility in Palo Alto, CA to the Twitter headquarters not far away in San Francisco, CA.

Youtube has destroyed their homepage with new design.

When youtube first sprawled itself all over the internets, it had the true, early 21'st century 8-bit gif's and overly descriptive links. 

In the early 2nd quarter of 2009, Youtube was beginning to have an almost esthetically pleasing design. It actually started to look like a web 2.0 product and yet was fast as ever.

Behind the design

Here are some insights from the designer herself:

This iPhone Vector Pack was created entirely in Photoshop. The elements in this set are a combination of vector and real screenshots. Last month, I was asked to create a mobile website mock-up using the iPhone as a medium. I needed to show several parts of the interface, none of which I had graphics for. I set out to create an iPhone “starter kit” for myself.

This iPhone Vector Pack comes with several button elements, as well as six different iPhone interface options (which you can turn on and off in Photoshop). I hope this freebie pack will be useful for mobile developers and front-end designers who need a professional way to show mock-ups to clients or to work out ideas.

I was searching for this recently and found something cool, How to have a "Main" post or the most recent post, with compact, "mini" older posts under it, sort of like digg. I have implemented it into the site. Enjoy!
