RockMelt - A Browser Built for Facebook Freaks
As if Facebook wasn’t enough on it’s own, the team at RockMelt have developed a new web browser that is designed entirely for Facebook. Because RockMelt is based off the Chromium engine, it has the speed of Google Chrome, along with the main structure and functions, so that means users will hopefully have a familiar experience with the app.
Macbook Air Blown up with Dynamite in Backyard
This is probably the most retardedly funny video on Youtube right now, and I have to apologize for any iFanboys that are about to have their souls crushed in about 1-2 minutes. The video was an “experiment” conducted by the guys at Crazy Cow Productions, who seem to consist of an overly enthusiastic fat guy with 50’s shades, and an emo-hipster with bullet-proof hair — but we have to give them credit for this, I mean it’s funny stuff!
Review - Skype 5.0 Beta for Mac OS X
Using Skype 2.8 on the Mac was a nightmare — so many times I would chat with the wrong person (which can end horribly), call somebody I didn’t mean to, or get completely lost in the application (or lose the application itself!). This was all due to Skype 2.6’s broken up windowing system that separated the contact list, calls and conversations, and it sucked — the cool part is, Skype 5.0 for Mac is a completely different story…
Podcast Ep. 9 - Whacha gonna do 'bout it Meat Boy?
In this week’s (very late) episode, we’re trying our best to avoid the weed, find some Paranormal Activity and rant about the Playstation Phone all in time for some Firesheep. You may be asking why this episode is so late for release, and we have an answer for that — We wanted to bring better audio quality to the table (instead of the crappy Skype feed) so we decided to record ourselves separately. It took quite a while to get everything synced and encoded properly, but it all worked out in the end!
Digg's Ex-CEO Talks About the Rise and Falling of Digg
Jay Adelson - Former CEO of Digg
Jay Adelson has become one of the most respected people when it comes to web startups, and has grown as the CEO of Digg, one of the most influential news aggregators in the world. Sadly, early this year, Jay stepped down as CEO at Digg and left the company in pursuit of something bigger, and Kevin Rose was left to act as CEO. After a short while, Kevin decided to recruit another CEO by the name of Matt Williams who was formerly a manager of Amazon and ever since, the company has begun to digg a hole for themselves — and theirs no sign of revival unless drastic changes are made.
Xbox 360 Kinect Fall Update Hits November 1st
If you’re an Xbox owner with any sort of Xbox Live service then tomorrow when you turn on your system you should receive a message telling you that a shiny new mandatory update is awaiting you. Once it’s downloaded and installed, aside from now allowing Kinect functions, you’ll notice quite a few changes - such as an updated Netflix channel with an added search feature, the new ESPN3 channel where you can stream live professional and college sports events directly to your Xbox, and most importantly you’ll notice that your avatars have longer legs. If you have any questions take a look at the FAQ provided from the Xbox team after the break!
