Global Internet speed breakdown - Infographic

The Internet is something we use to save as much time as we waste using it. It is the holy grail of information, entertainment and a ripe platform for business, and even though it’s the biggest thing to be invented in the last 30 years, it’s younger than most companies using it. We forget how powerful the internet is. It’s a blank canvas, a free and open global network for anyone to have for themselves. It is truly a wonderful thing, but naturally the Internet has been framed a “product” we pay for, instead of the canvas it was designed to be. Everything is fine and dandy, but the kicker is that the post is only visible to you, so you think you’ve shared the post publickly when in reality nobody else can see it. This is a new low for Facebook. What are they, 6 years old? Wait, nevermind…

Insane tech boom or tech bubble ticking away? - Infographic

Updated on Jul 20, 2011 by Registered CommenterBrandon Davenport

There’s been some crazy stuff happening with small internet companies in the past few years — the biggest thing is they are growing like bad weeds. Twitter is adding hundreds of thousands of users every day and Facebook is approaching the 800M user mark. Other internet companies are being given evaluations of billions of dollars (in Facebook’s case, approaching 100 billion dollars). Obviously this justifies the value of running a business online, but are we just heading in to another tech bubble?
