E3 - All the Announcements that will be made - Plus lots of Rumors

E3 is known for its enourmous amounts of games, announcements and… well some very sweaty nerds! So what exactly are all the publishers and developers showing off?

Well, we’ve got an enormous list of all the confirmed games that will be shown and boy, I can’t believe that even more will be added as the next few days go by! I’ve also created a full rundown of rumors, as well as some games you may have forgotten about for you reading pleasure.

Everything you need to know

Starting off with Microsoft - since their press conference is first, we know that their will be a ton of info on Natal but what games will they be showing off? Well, let’s check out a list of confirmed games below:

  • Halo: Reach
  • Fable III
  • Crackdown 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Many Other Natal Titles

Next up, Sony will be showing off these titles:

  • Infamous 2
  • Killzone 3
  • LittleBigPlanet 2
  • Gran Turismo 5
  • The Last Guardian
  • Many Other Move Titles

Finally, Nintendo will have these games:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Wii (hopefully)
  • Golden Sun DS (hopefully)
  • Metroid: Other M
  • Xenoblade
  • Pokemon: Black and White

Keep in mind that these are the heavy hitters for each company and we’ll undoubtedly get a ton more announcements during each company’s press events!

So, what about all the companies who don’t have their own consoles? Well, they all have a metric ton of games to show off and boy do some of them look great!

Electronic Arts (EA)

Let’s check out the list, starting with EA who, unsurprisingly, will have a very large presence at the show and has a ton of confirmed games that will be showing up at their booth during E3!

EA’s Full List

  • Bulletstorm
  • Crysis 2
  • Dead Space 2
  • EA Sports Active 2
  • EA Sports MMA
  • FIFA 11
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part One
  • Hasbro Family Game Night 3
  • iPad titles (Boggle, Scrabble, Tetris, Need for Speed: Shift, Mirror’s Edge and Command & Conquer: Red Alert)
  • Madden NFL 11
  • Medal of Honor
  • Monopoly Streets
  • MySims: SkyHeroes
  • NBA Elite 11
  • NBA Jam
  • NCAA Football 11
  • NHL 11
  • NHL Slapshot
  • RISK: Factions
  • The Sims 3 (consoles and handhelds)
  • The Sims 3: Ambitions
  • Spare Parts
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11
  • While that’s quite a large amount of games, a couple really catch our eyes namely the goregeous Crysis 2, the creepy Dead Space 2 and I’m interested to see some more information on Medal of Honor as well, which EA is promoting quite a bit!

Not to be outdone by the big three, EA is also hosting a press conference on Monday at 2PM PST and I’ve collected some of the most important rumors and facts about what could show up for your reading pleasure!

    EA Rumors

Gamespot may have accidentally revealed EA’s announcements. If you click on EA’s area on their interactive show floor, you’ll see Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 under the “Featured Games” list. Gamespot has been silent about this information so far so don’t be surprised if this ends up being false. Hit the link and see for yourself!

Criterion Games has a countdown on their site, which ends on the day of EA’s E3 presser and since we know that the company is working on a new Need for Speed title, if we put two and two together we’ll probably be getting some information on it at the conference! All I can say is hell yeah!

So, along with all the above we should get the regular slew of new game announcements at EA’s presser, most likely with a focus on Natal and Move games, but hopefully we’ll get some great new surprises as well.

    Ubisoft

Moving on to Ubisoft, who will also be having a press event right after EA at 5 PM PST, this is one of the companies who will truly be able to surprise us as next to nothing has been revealed about their lineup.

Still, we have a list of confirmed games which you can take a look at here:

    • New Driver Game
    • Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
    • Shaun White Skateboarding
    • Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
    • Additional titles “to be announced”

Obviously, the two heavy hitters on the list are the new Driver and the new Assassin’s Creed. Hopefully we’ll get some interesting “additional titles” so that Ubisoft can continue to be competitive for this year. Personally, I’m hoping to get some more concrete details on Beyond Good and Evil 2 but that may or may not happen. We can only hope!

    Konami

The final presser of the show will be headed up by Konami who also have a few interesting games that they will be showing off.

    Here’s the list:

    • The Cages: Pro Style Batting Practice (Wii)
    • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (PS3, X360)
    • Def Jam Rapstar (PS3, Wii, X360)
    • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)
    • N3: Ninety-Nine Nights II (X360)
    • Rocket Knight (PC, PS3, X360)
    • Rush’N Attack Ex-Patriot (PS3, X360)
    • Saw II: The Videogame (PS3, X360)

The only thing that really excites me on this official list is the new Castlevania, but since we can safely assume that Metal Gear: Rising is going to have a presence somewhere in this convention, so maybe this conference will be worth tuning into. Konami sure thinks it will be and they are live streaming the conference on their official webpage.

    Other Publishers

So those are all the heavy hitting companies but what other publishers will be at the show without all these fancy press conferences? Well readers, find your favorite developer to see a list of what they’re bringing to E3. Let the games begin!

General Rumors and Predicted Games at the Show

Moving on, we all know that the rumor mill churns at a ridiculous rate as E3 rolls around and while I’ve already mentioned a few let’s take a look at some more of the most important and popular rumors for our favorite gaming show of the year! Also included in this list are some games you may have forgotten about, that will hopefully be making some kind of an appearance at E3.

The Legend Of Zelda: Wii - We all know it’s coming with one teaser picture already given to us by Miyamoto himself at last year’s E3. While we have no other information then that, we can almsot certainly assume that the game will be at Nintendo’s Press Conference and that they will be promoting it with the company’s full force.

New Silent Hill - With Konami streaming their press conference, it would be a great opportunity to reveal their next iteration of the series. There’s even been rumors going around that it’s an FPS as well, which could be an interesting take on their survival horror aspect.

What’s Kojima teasing now? - We all know the Metal Gear series creator and how absolutely crazy He is. Unsurprisingly, he’s at it again, with a teaser site that just plays with your head. I mean, it’s showing various pieces of food getting chopped or cut. I’d love to speculate but, as you can see, it’s pretty hard to figure out what he’s trying to tell us. Unless it’s a Metal Gear: Cooking game, which almost scares me… On second thought, I almost want to see what Kojima would do with a game like that.

Metal Gear: Rising - We’ve heard next to nothing about the game, since it was revealed last year, but hopefully Kojima will give us some concrete info on the game and perhaps a release date? Pretty please?

Pikmin 3 - I almost forgot about this one, but Nintendo has confirmed that it’s being made, although we’ve heard nothing as to whether it will be at E3 or not. Still, if the awesomeness of the first two games were any indication, this one will be awesome!

Golden Sun DS - Oh yeah… I literally forgot this one existed as well… So… Nintendo can we get some kind of info on this game? If it still exists?

Beyond Good and Evil 2 - I mentioned this above but boy, if Ubisoft could just give us some indication of this game’s status then I think that would make quite a few people very happy. E3 is the definite place to do it though and I’m personally super pumped to see the series continue!

Resistance 3 - Well, there was a billboard spotted a while back but hopefully Sony will show off another heavy hitter in their already huge lineup of games.

Premium PSN - We all know that it’s real and we should be getting some more details at Sony’s press conference

Valve’s “Surprise” - Valve has been getting many nerds in a frenzy, announcing their cancellation of the Portal 2 event for a “surprise.” While there was a ton of speculation from Half Life 2: Episode 3 to a new source engine, we have no idea what could be in store for us from the company. This surprise had better be good!

Slim Xbox 360 - Michael Pacther, over at Gametrailers, has been saying that it’s going to happen at E3 for months and the big moment will be during Microsoft’s press conference later in the week.

Check back for tons of coverage during this entire week!
