Follow FIFA 2010 on your Android Smartphone with these apps
Who says being a geek means you’re not worldly. It’s time for the single greatest world wide competition outside of the Olympics, The World Cup! Whether you are a long time fan or a newly converter fan (like myself), you’ll want to stay update with all the happenings in South Africa. If you have an Android device, I have a few recommendations for you.
WC 2010 FotMob
This is the app I’m currently using. Gives me realtime score updates, The Goupings and new regarding the teams and players. It will also allow you to set your favorite team and follow them through The World Cup. The thing I like is you can set it up and have it send real time scoring to you via notifications. If you’re not in front of a tv, radio or computer that will allow you to stream the game, this is the next best thing. The price is definitely right; FREE!
World Droid Cup
This is another one. It’s not quite as stylish as the first but it will get the job done. It’s killer feature for me is that it shows you a map of South Africa and shows the locations of the all the stadiums and the games played there. It’s pretty cool to see where everything is happening. Again, it does give you the groupings, schedule and match ups just like the above app. Between the two, I’d choose the first one.
Well, there you have it. Quick and dirty so you don’t miss one kick or one goal. If you have anymore to add, send them in! Even though I’m a Man-U fan, I’m rolling with the States on this one, I love an underdog. GO USA!!!
