Gearbox gives away Borderlands 2 at PAX 2011 - Oprah would be proud

Borderlands 2 will be the highest anticipated underdog in the gaming world, come 2012. People are already anticipating all of the awesome stuff the sequel will feature (dual wielding weapons, improved graphics, new characters) and are forking over their money for pre-orders by the thousands. It’s sure to be another smash hit for Gearbox, but just when you thought the excitement wasn’t high enough, the development team pulls this.
You get a copy, you get a copy and you get a copy!!! *hysterical screaming, flailing… wiping eyes* — This was the performance set at Gearbox’s PAX 2011 community panel where they gave all 900+ attendees redemption codes for a free, shiny new copy of Borderlands 2 when it hits shelves. Sure it’s awesome, but it only saddens us that more gaming companies don’t do stuff like this. I mean, realistically, all gaming companies should do this!
