Google CEO Eric Schmidt says online anonymity is dangerous
Well, if this is Eric’s actual views of the internet, we might as well pack our bags (of LOLcats) and head out on the road, looking for another way to communicate and share things we like with privacy we deserve. Eric’s argument, although its scary, is completely sensible (in the right context) — Eric believes that privacy is priority one, but the average joe shouldn’t be able to use the internet, without some kind of identifier, much like a licence plate, or social security number.
