Hacked Kinect Can Navigate Through Windows 7

So the Kinect has been out for almost three weeks now, which apparently is more than enough time for interested parties to take apart Microsoft’s latest gaming concoction, peer into its guts, and see how it all works and comes together. And from there they’ve been able to come up with some pretty creative and practical utilizations of the camera technology, one namely is the ability to navigate through Windows 7 using nothing but gestures.
And while this all may seem like new stuff, if you remember earlier this year we reported that some internal Microsoft Power Point images had leaked, and in them were diagrams and concepts of facial recognition technology that would automatically log in users into Windows 8 using a Kinect-like webcam.
