iPhone 4 pre-orderes overload Apple's servers!
Pre-ordering has begun for the iPhone 4 and it may be the end of the world as we know it - The madness over the new iPhone 4 has created so many problems already! Many people aren’t even able to pre-order the iPhone 4 because of connection failures and Apple has since stopped accepting pre-orderes over their new Apple Store App. AT&T has also run out of phones to buy on the launch day!
There have been hundreds of reports of iPhone pre-orderes not going through, but despite that, a good amount have been able to get confirmation early this morning, but for the rest of us, problems are still occurring. Not only is the problem occurring online, it’s happening within Apple stores themselves! Their servers are becoming so overloaded that hardly anything is getting through the tubes, and all of this on top of not being able to select the white iPhone (at first).
Apple still doesn’t know when the problem is going to be fixed but are working on it fast. Though Apple is having problems within it’s own stores, they recommend coming to a store if you cannot pre-order online.
AT&T has also released an official statement about selling out the pre-orderes today:
“Because of the incredible interest in iPhone 4, today was the busiest online sales day in AT&T history. As of Tuesday afternoon, customers who preorder iPhone 4 moving forward will receive their device on June 25 or later, depending on when the order is placed. We’ll email customers with confirmation once their order is placed, and again when it ships. In addition, we will have devices available on a first-come, first-serve basis in our stores beginning on June 24.”
