Kindle is for 'Serious Readers' Only - iPad is for kids
To all you illiterate book haters, Kindle is better than you, face it - the iPad does stupid stuff like games, movies, music and the internet (which will never catch on). And the Kindle is a premium priced book reader (only!) for the people who enjoy the more refined things in life…
Chief Executive of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, said their strategy for competing with the iPad was to keep its own Kindle e-reader focused on reading. Simple enough, right? According to Amazon, the Kindle and the iPad don’t compete in the same space. Jeff Bezos says that the Kindle is for “serious readers” and the iPad is a toy.
Personally, I’ll stick with my (similarly priced to the Kindle) multimedia device which can do everything I need (plus awesome book reading), but what I am interested in is how many people prefer the Kindle for its pure excellence at just reading books?
